Cojo Tee’s entry into music appears to have been strongly influenced by his experiences growing up in Ghana and his desire to tell stories about society. One important turning point came in the late 1990s, when he met Ivorian reggae artist Alpha Blondy in Abidjan. Cojo Tee has described that encounter as having a major influence on his love for reggae and his decision to pursue the genre seriously.

Starting a podcast was always in the works and would allow him to do something music can't always do, have long form conversations.Instead of putting an entire message into a three or four minute song, he could bring on musicians, entrepreneurs, community leaders, professionals, entertainers and everyday people and let them explain their experiences, hardships, and succeses.  It will essentially become an extension of the philosophy behind his music. Using his voice to start conversations about people, culture, society and change.
